Aroma: Honig und Malz, süße Datteln und Sahnepudding mit Apfel. Als hätte man gerade eine Bienenwachskerze mit dem Finger ausgedrückt: aromatisch und leicht rauchig.
Geschmack: Buttrig mit Karamell und Aprikosenmarmelade, Zimt und viel, viel Honig mit einer trockenen Getreidenote.
Nachklang: Bienenwachs und Honigbrot mit einer würzigen Spur Muskatnuss.

Nose: Opens with citrus and smoke – a little bit meaty, too.
Palate: As you would expect from a name like ‚Kiln Embers‘, there’s plenty of warming, spicy ember notes coming through. Malty.
Finish: Sweet peat lasts and lasts.

For the second batch of BenRiach Cask Strength, the distillers in Speyside have combined whisky matured in bourbon, oloroso sherry and virgin oak casks. Intensely flavoursome stuff.
Nose: Fresh orange, sawdust, burnt sugar and prune.
Palate: Ginger root and mint, followed by peanut brittle and fennel.
Finish: Lasting brown sugar and raisin sweetness.

Aroma: Klassische Trockenfruchtaromen wie Rosinen und Datteln und auch die klebrige Süße der Datteln kommt zum Vorschein. Getragen werden die fruchtig-süßen Komponenten auf dunkler Schokolade und besonders alten Eichenholzscheiten.
Geschmack: Klassiche Sherryfassnoten – süße Schattenmorellen, Backpflaumen und Rosinen werden umrahmt von weihnachtlichen Gewürzen wie Zimt, Muskat und Piment. Die Zartbitterschokolade wartet geduldig auf ihren Auftritt und belohnt uns mit voluminösem Geschmack, der sich langsam auf der Zunge entfaltet.
Nachklang: Langanhaltend und trockener als am Gaumen mit vielen Gewürznoten.
