Aroma: Frische Aprikosen und Mirabellen sowie Dörrobst in Form von Feigen. Sehr fruchtig mit viel Vanille.
Geschmack: Wunderbar samtenes Gefühl auf der Zunge, das durch seine Fülle an Vanillepudding erinnert. Wieder zeigt sich reifes Steinobst, was wir schon riechen konnten.
Nachklang: Langanhaltend mit Mandeln, zuckriger Süße und Aprikose.

Aroma: Deutliches Weinaroma, Eichenholz, viel Würze, dann aber auch der typische scharfe Pot Still Charakter. Floral, reife rote Früchte.
Geschmack: Mundfüllend, sehr befriedigend mit fein balancierter Eiche und Gewürzen. Süße Vanille kombiniert sich mit Fruchtigkeit des Rotweins. Alles wird abgerundet mit feinen Getreidenoten.
Nachklang: Die französischen Weinfässer bleiben auch im Abgang dominant. Würzig, fruchtig, lang anhaltend.

This is an 11 year old single malt from the GlenDronach distillery, bottled as part of their 16th batch of single cask releases. It was aged in a Pedro Ximénez sherry puncheon from January 2006 to 2017, and bottled at cask strength with an outturn of 679 bottles.
Nose: Sticky PX sherry with layers of toasted cedarwood and chocolate orange on a base of cinnamon spiced bramble jam and baked plum.
Palate: Nutmeg-spiced bramble toffee and clementine burst on the palate, carried on a velvet wave of cocoa and wood resin. Cranberry, hazelnut and raisin linger into the perfectly balanced sweet and dry finish.

Nose: what a distillate. It’s a whole, and yet it swarms with all kinds of tiny fruity and oily aromas and fragrances. Kiwis, apples, sunflower oil, putty, gooseberries, shortbread, brioche, barley, leaves… You have to give it your attention, or you may miss many of them, but it rewards you.
With water: gets farmier, around hay. Fruit peelings, pollen…
Mouth (neat): perfect malt whisky. No sherry, no peat; malt. And brioche, croissants, butterscotch, lemons, oranges, honey, buttered tea, sweet earth… Yeah, it’s the centre of the malty Earth.
With water: what we’re usually expecting from unsherried Longmorn: a fruit salad dressed with honey sauce.
Finish: medium, with a touch of American oak.
